Ximena Navarrete is a Mexican model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe 2010. She was previously named as Nuestra Belleza México 2009. She began modeling locally at the age of sixteen, and studied nutrition at the Valle de Atemajac University, prior to taking part in the pageant world. On August 23, 2010, Navarrete (then known as "Jimena") was named Miss Universe, making her the second Mexican delegate to win the title, after Lupita Jones in 1991. Coincidentally, both were crowned in Las Vegas, Nevada. On February 10, 2011, Ximena Navarrete became the official face of L'Oreal Paris and Old Navy.
